    For this God is our God for ever and ever;
    He will be our guide even to the end.
    ( Psalms 48:14 *NIV )

    When we ask for God to lead us, He will, for He has
    promised us; I will instruct you and teach you
    in the way you should go; I will counsel you and
    watch over you. ( Psalms 32:8 )

    After all it isn't easy trying to live a righteous life in this
    World, and never was. Even the Apostle Paul complained;
    I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot
    carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want
    to do; no, the evil I do not want to do this I keep
    on doing. ( Romans 7:18-19 )

    So , as part of your morning prayer each day, why
    not ask God to lead you? For He is waiting for you with
    open arms!

    Hope you enjoy the following and
    perhaps have a laugh or two as I did!

    Dear Lord
    So far today, God, I've
    done all right.
    I haven't gossiped, haven't
    lost my temper,
    haven't been greedy,
    grumpy, nasty, selfish
    or over-indulgent.
    I'm really glad about that.
    But in a few minutes, God,
    I'm going
    to get out of bed, and from
    then on
    I'm probably going to
    need a lot more help!

    Just exactly what I needed to hear! Thanks for finding the right words...........I too stumble so much between what I know I should do and what I end up doing! But I know I'll never be perfect, and as long as I keep on trying He'll keep on guiding. These Psalms make me know I'm not alone with my imperfections in this...........

    Oh yes, the problems do start once the feet hit the floor! lol............Jole

    Shirl - so glad you posted this. It has helped me quite a few times this week, to focus on the fact that God knows my future, when I was in a worrying state. And since that is true - if there is anything I need to do for then - he will guide me and show me now. So, I chose again to let my worrying go.

    And to concentrate on today - the present. The small things I can do each day - or be. That He is with me doing his purifying/pruning/transforming work in me. By his faithful grace.

    It's so wonderful to have you here with us!

    Love, Judy
