I've read that whey protein is a form of MSG. Does anyone know anything about the connection?

    From BodyBuilding dot ,,,,

    Q. Isn't hydrolyzed protein monosodium glutamate (MSG)? I heard that whey is essentially MSG.

Both of these statements are false. MSG is manufactured by fermentation of a carbohydrate feed stock. MSG is not found in whey, nor is it made from whey.

    From Mercola dot,,,,
    Dr. Mercola's Comment:

Most are aware that MSG is something that is wise to avoid due to its negative health effects. Most are not aware that MSG is added to most infant formulas. Soy formulas in particular are loaded with MSG.

    Whey protein Carrageenan Maltodextrin
    Pectin Enzymes Protease

There is info there on the whey or do a web search on undenatured whey.

Dr. Cheney highly recommends it for glutathione and detoxing. He recommends the brands sold here.
