Who Gets Shots?

I have an appt at my rhemy tomorrow for a possible cortisone injection because my lower back has been so agonizing this past week. My mother gets occasional shots and says it helps her so much. I'm not sure if my lower back is fibro related or arthritis.

Has anyone gotten these type shots? What was your experience? Is this the same as trigger point injections?

    Thanks,
    Tania

I get tender point injections about once a month. The doc injects lidocaine and B12 into several of my most tender points in my back. Less pain for about a day, but then back to "normal".

    Hope this works for you!

    God Bless.

I had a shot in my shoulder last year and it worked wonderfully well. I've had no pain there since. I'm going to have my knees done soon.
