Why is a Psychologist President of IACFS?

To have a psychologist as head of such a prominent CFS organization is really insulting, as are his comments to the NYT that CFS is a mind/body disorder. I thought we had come further than this. I haven't seen this issue raised. Has anyone complained about this?

Agreed. I was rather shocked when I saw that article yesterday. It's very worrying that he's the head of the IACFS.

I wonder why? Maybe she did not agree with the direction this organization was heading. Anyone have any ideas?

This seems to be a very bad development for this organization and more importantly the entire cfs community.

Has had CFS himself for many yrs..I read a book he wrote on management and found it helpful..I feel you are all being a bit harsh..

    Stress kills ..ask any vet.
I generally react very negatively when My physical illness is delegitimised and this subject is so complicated..I think he is very much on my side but then I don,t think psycologists are the clearest thinkers around.
