I am less impressed by my cureent doc. he got me a referral to a Rheumy, this is the only way for ME to get to see a Rheumy.

Would I loose my referral (still waiting for appointemnt time from the Rheumy's office) if I dropped the doc that got me one to begin with?

I have put up with a lot of crap for the sake of this ref. and don't want to loose it.

It seem to me once I got my foot in (waiting for appointment, in the system so to speak) it doesn't matter if I do??!!

I have Medicaid, and must have referrals to any specialists to get in at all.

    Thanks, anyone who knows.

I would take sues advice and wait. My Dr. made a referral for me to see Rheumy 2 weeks ago and I just got the appt. and received papers in the mail today to complete prior to the appt. which is not until June.

If not, you may have to wait much longer.

    Take Care!

Good idea, I DO have an appointment before the rheumy, and I was thinking to cancel it anyways.

This doc seem to think I'm making things up and I feel very uncomfortable with him. He just couldn't deny the fact that I have Rf factor, and can't diagnose. This referral will get me a foot in for my FM diagnosis.

    Thanks, guys!
