Can I get SSI and still work? I know here in OK. they only pay up to a certain amount. So if I cut down to part time would I be able to get the SSI to supplement the hours I can't work anymore? Anyone know?? Thanks,Keke

I'm hoping others who know for sure can help~
(so I bumped ya back onto page one)

I do know that if your already getting SSI, can work part time and still get partial money from SSI.
You can only make up to a certain amount a week. (not much either)
But I'm not sure if you can get on SSI while holding down a job.??? sounds odd but many times thats the way the system is,..odd.
I just know that I've been told I could get a part time job and still get benifits if I felt able to work.
    (I never fell for it.)
for one it seems like a trap,...
and 2. I'm not so sure I could work at all.
Just keeping up with my home and children is work enough for me at this time.
    Hope this helped a little~

I work on days when I'm up to it as a substitute teacher. i'VE BEEN told on this site that the courts would hold it against you, but one lady posted here and said she got it while working 15 hrs per week. I'm about to fall through
the cracks, but have been afraid to apply because I work sparingly.

I will post this question too, and maybe we can both get some answers.
