I am really sorry that you have had such a difficult time, especially with breastfeeding. Breastfeeding does matter, and it sounds like it mattered greatly to you. May I make a few suggestions?

You can still breastfeed. It is not a lost cause. Please call a IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) I hope you had one in the hospital. There are things you can do to bring your milk back, and you can always give formula using a supplemental nursing system(SNS)at the breast. My first partner in the hospital only had 1 biological baby, then adopted 2 more and relactated for them, so it's not to late.

Even if you have surgery, you can nurse as soon as you wake up if you want to.

With all that said, forgive me if I am stepping in where you don't want me to go...I didn't put this in with the other posts because I didn't want to get into a breast vs bottle discussion, that is not in your best interest. I would be happy to help you in any way.

Please let me know if I can do anything.
    Warmly
    Maggie (IBCLC)
