    A few terms and phrases seldom heard these days:

    long-playing record
    slide rule
    third gear

    fountain pen
    film at eleven
    the fabulous four
    going steady

    ice box
    variety show
    hula hoop
    Elvis has left the building

    Follow the bouncing ball.

    can't see the trees for the forest
    nice day if it doesn't rain on the rhubarb
    re. putting sugar in tea will that be one lump or 2?

    .... of when my son was visiting. This was the first time he'd been to this house and his family never has. Before he left he took a video inside and out of my house to show his wife and kids.

    I heard him in my office recording to his son: "And Max, this is a typewriter. When you read about it in the history books you can say you've seen one."

    you stop listening to the music charts.Can't tell you what's number 1 in the pop charts these days.Is that a good thing or bad thing????haha,lol,Paul
