Hello All. I have a question. I have hypothyroidism. Will the magnesium in the ZMA prevent my thyroid medications from working? Thanks.....Fleeta

Hi Fleeta, welcome to our world. ZMA is 'zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B-6', you could ask your doctor or pharmacist if any of these supplements would be a problem with your thyroid meds, but I doubt it.

Also ssMarilyn is also on thyroid meds, and I think she takes ZMA. But am not positive.

Be sure to ask before starting it.

I believe that if you take it 4-6 hours away from your thyroid meds, then it is ok.

Need to be taken at least two hours before or after taking any minerals. I take my hormones first thing in the morning upon wakening on an empty stomach. They work better that way.
