Your suggestion is sound good.Losing weight is not a rocket science, It mean just understand your body mass and drink water proportionate of it.
Example if your weight is 176 pound, convert into kg and it would approx 80 kg, It mean you need at least 8 bottle of water a day.
Cut down your calories, For example if you taking 2500 calories a day cut down it to 1500 calories around and start doing 30 min exercise daily. It don't mean you go to gym, simply do outside activities.
Give time to yourself because you doing it for yourself and you will see change within 6 months.
